Artissima announces the recipients of the Sardi per l’Arte Back to the Future Prize, the illy Present Future Prize and the acquisitions by Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT
Torino, 3 November 2017 – Cally Spooner wins the 2017 edition of the illy Present Future Prize with her work presented by GB Agency and ZERO… The illy Present Future Prize is supported by illycaffè and it is assigned to the most interesting artist in Present Future, Artissima’s section dedicated to emerging talents. (Jury: Mary Ceruti, Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, Luigi Fassi).
The Sardi per l’Arte Back to the Future Prize, reserved to the gallery in the Back to the Future section that shows the most interesting project in terms of historical importance and presentation, was instead awarded to Loevenbruck gallery for a project of artist Jean Dupuy. (Jury: Eva Fabbris, Francesco Manacorda, Andrea Viliani, Lisa Parola).
Finally, Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT has reconfirmed its commitment to acquire works on occasion of Artissima. The new acquisitions, like the entire collection of the Fondazione, will be loaned to Castello di Rivoli – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea and to GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino.
