Guglielmo Castelli, presented by gallery Francesca Antonini, Rome, and gallery Rolando Anselmi, Berlin and Rome, is the winner of the Ettore e Ines Fico Prize. In collaboration with MEF Museo Ettore Fico, Turin, and realised by Artissima, the prize is dedicated to a young artist participating at the fair. The jury is composed of the artistic board of MEF.
Yuri Ancarani, presented by Berlin-based gallery Isabella Bortolozzi, is the winner of the OGR Award. Now in its third edition, the award enables the acquisition of a video selected from the works proposed by the galleries participating in the fair.
The winning work, Lapidi (2018), will become part of the Collection of the Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT and will be presented at the OGR Torino, one of the most dynamic cultural production and sperimentation centre in Europe. The winner has been selected among the videos proposed by the galleries taking part in the fair by an international jury composed of Naomi Beckwith, senior curator, MCA – Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; Francesco Manacorda, director, V-A-C Foundation, Moscow and Venice; and Vittoria Matarrese, director of Performing Arts, Palais de Tokyo Site de Création, Paris.
Julian Irlinger, presented by Berlin-based gallery Thomas Schulte, is the winner of the third edition of the Campari Art Prize, organised by Artissima in collaboration with Campari Group and dedicated to an artist under 35 selected from all those involved in the 7 sections of the fair. The international jury is composed of Philippe Van Cauteren, director, SMAK Museum, Ghent; Manuela Moscoso, curator, Museo Tamayo, Mexico City, and curator of Liverpool Biennial in 2020; and Sam Thorne, director, Nottingham Contemporary.
In 2019, Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT has reconfirmed its commitment to acquire works on the occasion of the 26th edition Artissima International Fair of Contemporary Art. The new acquisitions, like the entire collection of the Fondazione, will be loaned for free to Castello di Rivoli – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea and to GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino.
